6:30am Maureen’s asleep with Tom by her bedside.. She’s lying on her left side.
7:00am Maureen’s still sleeping.
7:30am She opened her eyes calmly a few minutes ago, accepting sips of water via swab.
8:00am Maureen’s asleep.
8:30am Maureen’s sound asleep.
9:00am Maureen’s still sleeping.
9:40am We raised Maureen’s bed an administered 75mcg with apple sauce. She woke up 20 minutes ago and was twitching a little. Her pulse was 78 going down within a few minutes.
9:45am Maureen is ready to start the day. Marianne and I washed her upper body with warmed purple wipes and aloe vesta. Diaper was dry but we changed anyway, applied Cavilon barrier and cream. Dressed and headed Maureen to the kitchen.
10:00am Maureen’s enjoying an oatmeal/fruit smoothie, 4oz prune juice with 1/4 cap Miralax for breakfast. She coughed twice, used the suction pump once.
Reclined Geri chair one notch for comfort.
10:20am Administered 10mg Loratadine with smoothie.
Daily Miralax dosage: 1/4 cap.
10:25am Oral care.
10:35am Saline Neb treatment.
10:55am Blood pressure: 94/65. No BP med given at this time. We couldn’t get a reading earlier because of Maureen involuntary movement.
11:00am Facial routine.
11:30am Maureen‘s sleeping in the chair, she closed her eyes right after facial routine.
11:45am Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her first break. Changed and cleaned a md wet diaper with a small formed bowel movement. Positioned on her right side at 12:00m.
Maureen was snoozing during her break.
12:45pm First break ends. Diaper was dry. Dressed and transferred Maureen to the kitchen.
1:00pm Lunch: onion/chicken sou, park crisps, a full cup of sparkling water and couple spoons of Greek yogurt for dessert. Maureen coughed three times and her nose was runny. Used suction pump to help clearing her throat.
1:30pm So far, we’ve been trying getting a BP reading without success. Will do it again later.
1:40pm Oral care.
2:00pm Blood pressure: 105/71. BP med omitted.
Maureen almost finished her first cup of lemon water.
2:30pm Transferred Maureen to the bedroom for her second break. Diaper was dry. Positioned on her Lt side at 2:40pm.
3:30pm Second break ends. Changed and cleaned a md wet diaper, dressed and headed to the living room.
3:45pm Maureen’s enjoying her fruit snack (melon). She coughed once.
Summary
Maureen had a sleepy day. Low energy at the beginning of her routine. She was less tired after lunch though, staying awake while sitting and on her second as well. She made our day with one of her smiles.
