August 13 daytime update

  • 6:40am Maureen is awake, lightly stirring and mumbling to herself. Her diaper is dry.

  • 8:14am We begin our day. Maureen’s diaper is wet, cleaned thoroughly with warm wipes from the purple packet. No redness observed on Maureen’s posterior. Transferred to Geri chair via Hoyer lift.

  • 8:34am Administered thyroid pill prior to breakfast.

  • 8:35am Breakfast time. Maureen will have her usual oatmeal with a banana and a half cup of prune juice with a full cup of water. One spoonful of honey to follow.

  • Maureen has coughed twice and sneezed three times at this point. Posture in Geri chair is great with assistance of green wedge pillows.

  • 9:12am Administered 5mg LISINOPRIL and baby Aspirin.

  • 9:27am Oral care followed by facial using Cetaphil cleanser and moisturizer.

  • Maureen has dozed off twice for about 3 minutes at this point.

  • 10:00am We are taking Maureen out for a stroll around the block.

  • 10:51am Maureen is up to the bathroom. Pull-up is dry. After 5 minutes, Maureen urinated a good amount in the toilet but no bowel movement. We cleaned up thoroughly and returned to the recliner in the front room.

  • 11:10am Smoothie time.

  • 12:51pm Maureen’s pull-up is slightly wet so we headed to the bathroom. After 10 minutes, Maureen did not urinate or move her bowels. We cleaned thoroughly and put on a fresh pull-up.

  • 1:10pm Lunchtime. Maureen enjoyed some broccoli chicken bake with butternut squash soup as well as her usual bottle of organic coconut water.

  • 2:35pm Maureen is up to the bathroom. Pull-up is slightly wet. After 10 minutes, there was no activity. We cleaned and put on a new pull-up. We headed to the recliner after.

  • 3:30pm Fruit snack time.

Sunday 6 - 7 - 26 Daytime summary

9:30 AM - Maureen is still sleeping comfortably 10:00 AM - Maureen is stirring about a little bit, so I went in and gave her a little water via swab, not quite ready to move, but getting ready shortly
