February 7 daytime update

• Maureen has been awake since 6:30AM.

• Maya checked the diaper at 6:40AM. It was dry.

• Diaper remained dry as of 7:00AM.

• Maureen began her day @ 8:05AM. She is in fine form—somewhat chatty. First order of business was for Maya to apply Tolcylen to both big toes. Diaper was light wet. We performed a clean & change using all three 3M Cavilon products where appropriate. Lastly, Maya cleaned all of the areas of focus of Maureen's upper body with Aloe Vesta Cleansing Foam and warmed wipes from the purple packet. We noted no red areas anywhere on Maureen's body.

• Breakfast service began @ 8:38AM. Maya gave Maureen a teaspoon of Manuka Honey followed immediately by the administration of the thyroid medication with a very small amount of applesauce. We went off menu today. Maureen enjoyed a red velvet donut from Joe's and a glass of milk. She also had a banana.

• Maureen will consume approximately 4 ounces of prune juice this morning.

• Daily MiraLAX dosage: None

• General observation @ 9:04AM> As with Friday, Maya and I both believe Maureen is less congested this morning.

• 9:22AM - Maya administered a dose of Gufensein

• 9:24AM - Maya gave Maureen a dose of Arm & Hammer Saline Mist.

• 9:28AM - Morning oral care routine

• 9:35AM - Maureen began to utter the low moan/groan for the first time. It occurs very infrequently so far.

• 9:40AM - We tilted Maureen back one notch in the geri chair to make her more confirmable and to relieve pressure on the lower back.

• 9:42AM - Eyelash cleaning and eye drops

• 9:49AM - Morning face, arm and hand treatment

• 9:58AM - Hand, arm, shoulder and leg exercises

• 10:25AM - Organic fruit smoothie

• 10:55AM - We headed to the bedroom in preparation for Rest Break #1. The diaper was medium wet. Maureen had a very small formed bowel movement. After completing a clean & change, Maya and I place Maureen on her right side.

• 11:07AM - Rest Break #1 begins

• 12:14PM - Rest Brea #1 concludes. Diaper is dry. We dressed Maureen and headed to the kitchen.

• 12:22PM - Lunch | Maya prepared 1/2 a turkey sandwich with melted cheese on toasted whole wheat bread, 1/2 a bowl of homemade onion and chicken soup and 1/4 of a tomato sliced. Maureen will consume one 12 ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water.

• 12:51PM - Maya administered a dose of Gufensein

• 12:54PM - Maya gave Maureen a dose of Arm & Hammer Saline Mist.

• General observation @ 12:56PM> The low moan/groan has occurred only a few times since Maureen first did it @ 9:35AM.

• 12:57PM - Afternoon oral care

• 1:55PM - It was time to prepare for Rest Break #2. We headed to the bedroom. Maureen had a large soft bowel movement. It was somewhat of a mess. Diaper was medium wet. After completing a thorough clean and change, Maya and I placed Maureen on her left side.

• 2:11PM - Rest Break #2 begins.

• 3:13PM - Rest Break #2 concludes. Diaper was medium wet. After completing a clean & change, we headed to the front room. Maureen has a date with a bowl of fruit and Drew Carey.

• 3:27PM - Afternoon fruit snack

• Daytime recap> Today was a better than average day. Maureen ate well. She had two bowel movements—one of which was large/soft. Her energy and engagement was a little above average. Low moan/groan did not occur much today. Coughs were definitely less than what we have observed during the last 5-7 days. There were only two red face coughs. Let's hope this portends a good week ahead.
