6:30AM - Maureen is awake.
6:40AM - Maya checked the diaper. It is wet.
Maureen began @ 8:00AM sharp. She was alert and engaged this morning. Maya got things going by applying the Tolcylen to both big toes. The diaper was medium wet. We did a clean and change. Next, we performed the wash protocol on all areas of the upper body where perspiration accumulates. The area underneath the right breast is much better than yesterday—although still slightly red. All other areas look perfect. Maya applied a thin layer of Nystatin Ointment to the area under the right breast.
Maureen's JourneyCare RN Patty stopped by the house for the weekly checkup. The visit went very well. Patty was very pleased with everything we are doing.
Breakfast began @ 8:50AM. Maureen's posture in the geri chair is very good with the help of two green wedge pillows and Magic Mike. Maya began by giving Maureen a tea spoon of Manuka honey following immediately by the thyroid medication. Breakfast went down pretty well for the most part. Maureen coughed four times during the breakfast service.
Maureen will consume approximately 4 ounces of prune juice this morning.

9:21AM - Maya administered the blood pressure medication.
9:30AM - Morning oral care
9:39AM - Eyelash cleaning and eye drops
9:45AM - Facial treatment
10:35AM - Organic fruit smoothie. Maureen coughed four times.
10:55AM - Headed to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #1. Diaper was medium wet. We cleaned and changed Maureen. Once complete, we positioned Maureen on her left side.
11:10AM - Rest Break #1 begins. Maureen will lay on her left side for approximately 60 minutes.
12:10PM - Rest Break #1 concludes. Diaper was light wet. Maya and I did a clean and change in preparation for Kathy's arrival at the house to do Maureen's hair.
12:20PM - Kathy and Maya shampooed and styled Maureen's hair.
12:40PM - Maya put a fresh set of linens on Maureen's bed.
1:00PM - Lunch | Maya made 1/2 a ham and melted cheese sandwich on toasted whole whet bread, 1/2 a bowl of homemade butternut squash soup and 1/4 of a tomato sliced. Maureen will also drink one 12 ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water. Maureen handled lunch pretty well. She only coughed three times.
1:25PM - Afternoon oral care.
1:55PM - We headed to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #2. Maureen's diaper was medium wet. Just as Maya and I were wrapping up the clean and change process, Maureen urinated on the pad. We reached the pad and performed another clean and change process. Finally, we positioned Maureen on her right side for Rest Break #2.
2:10PM - Rest Break # 2 begins.
3:10PM - Rest Break #2 concludes. Diaper was medium wet. We did a clean and change and then headed to the front room.
3:30PM - Afternoon fruit snack—so delightful!
