August 5 daytime update

• 6:45AM - Maureen is awake—stirring lightly. Djon checked the diaper. It is dry.

• 7:15AM - She remains awake. Diaper is dry.

• The day officially began @ 8:00AM. Maureen is in good form—engaged for the most part. Her diaper was wet. Djon cleaned Maureen thoroughly with warmed wipes from the purple packet and placed a new pull up and freshly laundered pair of shorts on Maureen. We did not observe any red marks on Maureen's posterior this morning.

• Maureen will consume her standard breakfast today: oatmeal, a banana and a teaspoon of Manuka honey.

• Breakfast service began @ 8:23AM. Djon administered the thyroid pill just prior to starting food. Maureen is somewhat lethargic. She just nodded off for 45 seconds.

• 8:33AM - Maureen continues to fall asleep for brief segments of time.

• 8:40AM - Maureen is gaining some energy as breakfast progresses.

• Maureen will drink 1/2 a glass of undiluted prune juice this morning.

• 8:55AM - Maureen once in a while utters the low moan.

• GENERAL OBSERVATION AS OF 8:57AM> Maureen's arms are lower and looser this morning to this point in the day.

• 9:02AM - Djon administered the blood pressure pill and baby aspirin.

• Vitals @ 9:04AM: Oxygen: 98, Pulse: 87 and Temperature: 98.3

• Coughing during breakfast was much better today—just 2-3 times. Maureen did not sneeze at all.

• GENERAL OBSERVATION> Maureen's brow has been slightly furrowed for most of the morning so far.

• 10:15AM - Organic fruit smoothie. Maureen only consumed 1/2 of it.

• Vitals @ 11:00AM: Oxygen: 95, Pulse: 90 and Temperature: 98.7

• 11:02AM - Djon is thoroughly swabbing Maureen's gums with a saltwater solution.

• 11:25AM - We took Maureen to the bedroom to be cleaned and changed because her pull up was wet. While cleaning Maureen, she had a small formed bowel movement. The odor was not as pungent as the one she has yesterday afternoon. It was more normal. Djon thoroughly cleaned Maureen and put on a fresh diaper. There was no seepage to her shorts. We did not see any red marks during the cleaning process.

• 12:30PM - Lunch - We prepared 1/2 a turkey sandwich on toasted whole wheat with a 1/2 a bowl of Lentil soup.

• 2:15PM - In advance of Sr. Roberta's arrival, Carolyn and Brian took Maureen to the bedroom to be cleaned and changed. In addition to a wet diaper, Maureen had a loose medium size bowel movement when we began to remove her diaper. The odor was more what we are accustomed to —not pungent like it was yesterday. Once we had begun the clean up process, Maureen also urinated in bed on the pad. Carolyn thoroughly cleaned Maureen's front and back sides on two occasions. We the put on a fresh pull up and her original pair of shorts.

• 2:50PM - Therapeutic massage session with Sr. Roberta begins.

• 3:05PM - Due to Maureen's loose stool, Carolyn decided not to give Maureen her afternoon fruit snack.
