7:20AM - Maureen remains asleep for the most part. She is stirring somewhat regularly.
Maureen began her day @ 8:20AM. She is in a bit groggy today. Congestion is fairly evident. The diaper is medium wet. Click/tap here to view a detailed overview of the process Tom and I use to get Maureen ready for the day.
Breakfast service began @ 8:58AM. Posture in the geri chair is good for the most part. Maureen is tilting to the left and forward a bit. We used the two green wedge pillows and the red couch pillow to set Maureen up perfectly. Click/tap here for detailed overview of the entire breakfast service process Tom and I use each day.
Daily MiraLAX dosage: 1/2 cap of MiraLAX
General observations @ 9:45AM> The morning went well. Maureen had good energy for the most part throughout the breakfast service—nodded off for brief periods on two occasions. She coughed nine times and sneezed five times. The left eye is slightly swollen. Maureen is able to keep the left eye three quarters open. Overall, Maureen broke from the gate in fine form this morning.
9:54AM - Morning oral care routine
10:0AM - We tilted the geri chair back one notch for Maureen's comfort and to relieve tree off of her sacrum.
10:17AM - Tom gave Maureen a COVID rapid test. It came back negative.
We skipped the organic fruit smoothie today due to how far behind we were on the daily schedule.
10:39AM - Cleaned the vast majority of Maureen's upper body while she was sitting in the geri chair. We finished up by putting a fresh t-shirt on her.
10:52AM - Maureen began a nap. It lasted until 11:33AM. Upon waking up, she looked startled and disoriented. Her upper right arm was spasming occasionally. Her lips were also twitching from time to time. Responsiveness and engagement were almost nonexistent during this entire period.
11:57AM - Maureen began to come out of it. She took a few sips of water from the glass. Began to utter some unintelligible sounds.
12:02PM - We headed to the bedroom for a clean & change. Diaper was medium wet. Maureen also had a medium soft bowel movement. Tom and I completed a clean & change.
12:24PM - After getting Maureen set up in the sling to head to the kitchen for lunch, Tom and I both noted that Maureen was groggy/out of it still from her morning nap in the geri chair. As a result, we decided to give her a roughly 30 minute rest break now. She is on her left. side. Rest Break #1 begins.
1:35PM - Rest Break #1 ends. Maureen's diaper is only slightly wet. Since we are already well behind schedule, Tom and I decided not perform a clean & change.
1:44PM- Lunch | Maureen enjoyed some spicy chicken strips, mac & cheese and a small amount of waffle fries from Chick-fil-A. She will also drink one 12-ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Coconut Water during lunch.
2:42PM - Afternoon oral care
3:07PM - We headed to the bedroom for a clean & change. The diaper was medium wet. Maureen had a medium soft bowel movement. Upon completion, we headed to the front room.
3:45PM - Afternoon fruit snack
