August 19 daytime update

• 6:35AM - Maureen is awake. Diaper is dry.

• 7:26AM - Maureen is now awake. Her eyes are open. Djon checked the diaper. It is now slightly wet.

• Our day officially began @ 8:52AM. Maureen is alert and engaged. Her diaper was slightly wet. Djon cleaned her thoroughly using warmed wipes in the purple packet. There were no red marks on her posterior. We put on a new pull up and a freshly laundered pair of shorts.

• Breakfast service began @ 9:13AM. Djon administered the thyroid pill before feeding commenced. Maureen's posture in the lift recliner is very good. She is listing to the left a bit. We inserted a green wedge pillow to straighten her posture.

• Maureen will consume 1/2 cup of prune juice this morning.

• 9:20AM - Maureen is a bit sleepy this morning. She has started to nod off occasionally. Her eyes are not completely open. Hands and arms are relaxed—not up high on torso. Her hands are not clenched.

• 9:44AM - Djon administered the blood pressure pill and baby aspirin.

• Maureen coughed 3-4 times during breakfast—about normal. One of them was a deep cough with phlegm.

• 10:48AM - Maureen's pull up was wet. Since it had been more than two days since her last bowel movement, we decided to take her to the bathroom. Maureen was on the commode for 15 minutes. She did not urinate or mover bowels. Djon thoroughly cleaned her. Maureen's posture on the commode was excellent. She needed very little assistance to sit upright. There was no slumping.

• 11:15AM - Organic fruit smoothie time.

• 1:16PM - We took Maureen to the bathroom again. Her pull up was wet. She was on the commode for 15 minutes—no activity. Djon thoroughly cleaned Maureen and put on a new pull up.

• 1:40PM - Lunch - Pasta Thursday - Maureen has pasta with marinara sauce, grilled asparagus and one piece of garlic bread. She also drank one 12 ounce bottle of Harmless Harvest Coconut Water.

• 2:40PM Vitals - Temp: 98.3, Oxygen: 98 and Pulse: 88

• 2:50PM - Djon checked the pull up. It was dry. We transferred Maureen from the geri chair to the lift recliner for the afternoon.
