April17, 2021 Weekend Dayshift Update

5:00am Maureen is asleep in bed lying on her left side. 6:40am Maureen is stirring in bed and mumbling. 7:50am Maureen is awake and we start getting ready for the day. Diaper is wet, I thoroughly cleaned Maureen and put on a new pull-up. I gave Maureen a bed bath and we changed in to new clothes. I transferred Maureen from bed to the day chair using the Hoyer lift. 8:15am Breakfast time. Maureen ate 100% of her oatmeal and banana. Maureen also had 1/2 cup of prune juice and two cups of water. 8:45am Administered morning medications with applesauce. 9:05am Maureen tolerated morning exercises well. 9:35am Maureen is slowly losing energy and less engaged in conversation. 9:40am I transferred Maureen from the day chair to the recliner using the Hoyer lift. She is now lying comfortably.

11:05am Maureen took a nap on the recliner for approximately 35 minutes. 12:00pm Maureen had a visit from podiatrist. Dr. Dan Parise cut and filed Maureen’s toenails and put lotion. Dr. Parise advised continued use of Vicks Vaporub on both big toes. 12:25pm I transferred Maureen from recliner to day chair using the Hoyer lift. Went to bathroom. Pull-up and pants are wet, changed to dry ones. Maureen urinated (cloudy), no bowel movement. 12:35pm Lunch time. Maureen ate 100% of her tuna sandwich and drank one full cup of water. 1:15pm Kathleen came to wash Maureen’s hair. 2:00pm Maureen sat by the window in the front room to enjoy some sun. 2:15pm Transferred Maureen from day chair to the recliner using the Hoyer lift. 3:00pm Maureen had a nice visit from Edi, Bob, and Jerry. She was upright in her recliner and engaging in conversation. 4:45pm Transferred Maureen from the recliner to the day chair. Maureen is up to the bathroom. Pull-up is dry. Maureen urinated (cloudy) and moved her bowels (formed, normal color and odor). Returned to day chair and sitting by the front door enjoying the sunlight.
