6:30AM - Maureen is sleeping.
6:50AM - Maureen began to wake up. She is now going in and out of sleep. Maya checked the diaper. It is now wet.
Maureen began her day @ 8:05AM. She is in good form—alert and engaged. She smiles and laughs from time to time. Click/tap here to read how we performed our morning routine to get Maureen ready for the day. Maureen had a rather large and somewhat perfectly formed rash in the area around her anus. See the attached image. Maya applied A+D Prevent Ointment to this area. I am going to send this image to Julie Karr, RN of JourneyCare for her evaluation.

Breakfast service began @ 8:47AM. Posture in the geri chair is good. Maureen began to tilt somewhat forward and to the left. We used both green wedge pillows and Magic Mike to set Maureen upright. Click/tap here to view a detailed overview of what we do thing this period of the day.
General observations @ 9:14AM> The day started off well. Maureen has good energy. She is engaged, communicative and responsive. Eyes are wide open. Cough count is currently at 4 which is more than we would normally like to see. Maureen is more congested than normal this morning. She has sneezed 2-3 times so fat.
Daily MiraLAX dosage: None.
9:43AM - Breakfast service concludes. Maya administered the blood pressure medication and the Claritin pill.
General observation @ 9:45AM> Maureen is beginning to lose energy. Eyes are now partially closed. Engagement, Communication and responsiveness have dropped off significantly. She is nodding off from time to time.
9:50AM - Morning dental care routine.
10:00AM - Maya and I reclined the geri chair one notch for Maureen's comfort and to relieve stress/pressure from her back.
10:07AM - Morning facial treatment including arms and hands.
10:20AM - Hand, arm and shoulder exercises.
10:35 - Organic fruit smoothie
11:00AM - We headed to the bathroom to prepare for Rest Break #1. Diaper was light wet. I took two new images of the red area on Maureen's backside. The overall area does not look different, but there is a darker red line on top that is a bit "raised" See the second image in attached array for a close up of this darker raised red line. After some consideration of the options, Maya and I decided to stick with the A+D Ointment. She applied a new layer to the entire area.

11:16AM - Rest Break #1 begins.
12:35PM - Rest Break #1 ends. Diaper was light wet. Maya and I examined the red area on Maureen's behind. It remains basically the same. We applied a layer of 3M Cavilon Barrier Cream to the area.
12:54PM - Lunch | Maya prepared 1/2 a ham and melted Swiss cheese sandwich on lightly toasted whole wheat bread, 1/2 a bowl of organic lentil soup and a serving of stewed tomatoes. Maureen will drink one 12-ounce bottle of Harmless harvest Organic Coconut Water. For dessert, Maureen will enjoy a small serving of tapioca pudding.
1:44PM - Afternoon oral care
2:12PM - We took Maureen to the bedroom to prepare for Rest Break #2. Diaper was light wet. Maureen had a very small soft bowel movement. Maya and I examined the red area on Maureen's posterior again. Overall, it looks less red. The one darker red line on the upper buttock increased in size a bit. See the attached images. Maya and I completed a clean & change. We then placed Maureen on her right side.
